In short
- You can read this site without giving me anything. There are no accounts, ads or newsletter, and nothing you type on this site is sent to it.
- Visit statistics run through Google Analytics, and only if you press Accept in the cookie notice. If you decline, Google’s script is never loaded.
- If you email me, I use what you send to answer you and, if we work together, to do the work.
- I do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.
- You can ask what I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and change your cookie choice at any time.
Who is responsible
Raynhaus is the studio of Milos Brakus, a creative director based in Belgrade, Serbia. In this policy “I” means Milos Brakus. I decide how and why personal data is used on raynhaus.com, which in legal terms makes me the data controller.
For anything in this policy, write to milos@raynhaus.com.
What is collected, and why
When you visit the site
The site is delivered by Cloudflare. To send you a page, Cloudflare’s servers process the technical data every browser sends: your IP address, the page you asked for, the date and time, the page you came from, and your browser and operating system. Cloudflare uses this to deliver the site and to protect it from abuse. If a connection fails, your browser may also send Cloudflare a short error report.
I do not keep server logs of my own, and I cannot identify you from this data.
Why this is allowed: I have a legitimate interest in running a site that loads and stays secure.
Visit statistics, only if you accept
If you press Accept in the cookie notice, the site loads Google Analytics. It records:
- which pages you view, in what order and for how long
- the site or search that brought you here
- your approximate location, to city level at most, worked out from your IP address
- your device type, browser, language and screen size
- a random identifier stored in a cookie, which tells Google Analytics that two page views came from the same browser
Google Analytics does not log or store your IP address. I see totals and trends, not individual people. I use them for one thing: to learn which pages get read, so I can improve the site. I do not use them for advertising.
If you press Decline, none of this happens. Google’s script is not loaded and no Analytics cookie is set.
Why this is allowed: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with the Cookies link at the bottom of every page. When you do, counting stops and the Analytics cookies are deleted from your browser.
When you write to me
If you email me, I receive your name, your email address and whatever you choose to include, for example your company, your links and a description of your project. I use it to reply, to prepare an offer and, if we work together, to do the work.
The brief on the contact page works entirely in your browser. It writes an email in your own mail app, and nothing reaches me until you send that email yourself.
Email for raynhaus.com is hosted by Google Workspace, so your message is stored on Google’s servers.
Why this is allowed: taking steps at your request before a contract, and carrying out the contract if we work together. For any other message, my legitimate interest in answering people who write to me.
If we work together
During a project I handle what the work needs: contact details of the people involved, billing details, materials you give me, and access to accounts you decide to share. Our agreement covers how that is used. I keep invoices and related records for as long as Serbian accounting and tax law requires.
Cookies and browser storage
The site stores nothing in your browser until you make a choice in the cookie notice.
| Name | What it is | Purpose | How long | When it is set |
|---|---|---|---|---|
raynhaus-consent | Local storage entry, set by this site | Remembers whether you pressed Accept or Decline, so the notice does not come back on every page | Until you clear the site data in your browser | When you press Accept or Decline |
_ga | Cookie, set by Google Analytics | Tells one browser from another | 2 years | Only after Accept |
_ga_VD9M737BJP | Cookie, set by Google Analytics | Keeps track of your current visit | 2 years | Only after Accept |
The first entry is needed for the notice to work and holds no personal data. The two Analytics cookies are optional.
To change your choice, use the Cookies link at the bottom of any page. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.
Who receives data
I use two service providers. They process data on my instructions, under their data processing terms.
- Cloudflare, Inc. delivers the site, runs its DNS and protects it. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.
- Google provides Google Analytics, only if you accept, and Google Workspace email. For people in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the provider is Google Ireland Limited. Elsewhere it is Google LLC. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
I do not sell personal data and I do not share it with advertisers. I would disclose data only if a law or a court order required it.
Transfers outside your country
I am based in Serbia, so your email reaches me there. Cloudflare and Google operate worldwide and may process data in the European Union, the United States and other countries.
Cloudflare, Inc. and Google LLC are both certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and their data processing terms include the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses for other transfers.
How long data is kept
- Technical data from visits is handled by Cloudflare and kept only as long as Cloudflare needs it to deliver and secure the site.
- Analytics data linked to cookies is kept by Google Analytics for 2 months, which is its standard setting. After that only totals remain. The cookies themselves expire after 2 years, or sooner if you delete them or withdraw consent.
- Email that leads to a project is kept for the length of the project and for as long as it is needed afterwards as a record. Email that does not lead to a project is deleted once it is no longer needed, and at the latest two years after the last message.
- Invoices and accounting records are kept for the period Serbian law requires.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask me to:
- tell you whether I hold personal data about you, and give you a copy
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete
- delete your data
- restrict how I use it, or object to my using it
- give it to you in a common format, so you can take it elsewhere
- stop relying on your consent, where consent is the reason I use the data
I make no decisions about you by automated means.
To use any of these rights, write to milos@raynhaus.com. I will answer within 30 days. Before sending personal data I may ask for something that confirms who you are.
These rights come from the Serbian Law on Personal Data Protection and, for people in the EU and the UK, from the GDPR and the UK GDPR. If you think I have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to a supervisory authority:
- in Serbia, the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection
- in the EU, the data protection authority of the country where you live or work
- in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office
Please write to me as well, so I have the chance to put it right.
Children
This site is meant for businesses and the people who run them. It is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Email and project files are kept with providers that encrypt data in transit and at rest, and access to them is limited to me. No system is perfectly secure. If something goes wrong and it is likely to affect you, I will tell you and the relevant authority, as the law requires.
Links to other sites
Project pages link to client websites and to YouTube, Behance, ArtStation, IMDb and LinkedIn. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this one stops applying once you leave raynhaus.com.
Changes to this policy
If the site starts collecting something new or uses a new provider, I will update this page and the date at the top.
